Disposing of worn tyres and inner tubes has always been a pain.

They don’t belong in the home recycling, waste center’s don’t accept them so they just end up in the bin or left in that ‘I’ll sort it out later’ pile!

It’s the same with us at the workshop - expect we have an endless supply of waste tubes and tyres that doesn’t fit in with our waste management system.

We’ve teamed up with Velorim, UK’s recycling system for bike tyres, as a solution to this problem.

Joining their UK National Bicycle Waste Recycling Scheme we are now able to recycled all tyres and tubes from the workshop.

However it doesn’t stop with us.

You too can now use Ride Bikes Wales as a drop off point to get rid of your old tyres and tubes.

According to Velorim, 30.5 million tyres and 152 million tubes disposed in the UK yearly and 99% of these are thrown away into landfill.

Velorim have produced a system that allows old tyres and tubes to be completely 100% recycled into reusable materials that are needed by British industry which we think is far better than just throwing them in the bin.
