National Blood Donor Week - Monday June 10th
The Welsh Blood Service have reached out to us to ask for your help.
Monday 10 June marks the beginning of National Blood Donor Week.
National Blood Donor Week is a week where we raise awareness of the lifesaving importance of blood donation to encourage those who have never donated to give it a go.
These donations play a vital role in saving lives each day by supporting a range of treatments, from helping recovering accident victims and patients with blood cancers to supporting mothers and new-born babies during childbirth. The Welsh Blood Service supports 19 hospitals across the country and relies on donations from blood, platelet and bone marrow donors to support patients in need.
We need 350 donations each day to supply our hospitals across Wales and we still have over 100 available appointment slots left.
Help us reach our goal by giving blood and attending one of five donation sessions taking place at our Talbot Green headquarters.
